They came, they camped, they conquered (well, almost). During a soul-searching Dorset retreat, Climate Camp have decided to suspend tent-centred activism - citing the “radically different political landscape” of 2011. Having been through Drax, Kingsnorth, Heathrow, RBS, Copenhagen and one helluva lot of hummus, the group are now turning their attention to coordination with the wider anti-cuts and anti-austerity movement.

Exciting Weekend of Student Climate Gatherings

The weekend of the 19th to 20th April will see two national student climate gatherings take place at the London Action Resource Centre. The first for Climate Camp, and the second for the Student Climate Project. Please forward this message far and wide and persuade all to come along. Plane Stupid foils infiltration attempt

Since late summer 2007, an employee of a corporate espionage agency has been trying to infiltrate Plane Stupid. Toby Kendall, who works for C2i International, a "special risk management" firm, thought he was undercover in our London group, gathering information on what we're up to. Instead we've been feeding the 'revenge movie' obssesed mole false information, which he's been reporting to the aviation industry for months.

The Student Climate Project comes to London

The Student Climate Project was launched in August 2007, to inspire the wider student body into taking radical action against climate change. They are currently doing a year long tour across the UK, holding events and doing actions along the way. All are invited to get involved and contribute to building a mass student movement against this most critical of issues.
